Rowan Atkinson is excellent as Chief Inspector 'Maigret'
An adaptation of the books by Georges Simenon featuring his fictional French detective Jules Maigret, now played by Rowan Atkinson. The series is set in France in the mid-1950s and follows the detective as he solves grizzly cases in the french capital.
I don't normally associate Rowan Atkinson with non-comedic roles but he does a brilliant job in this period drama and its worth a watch. The series has 2 seasons and each season follows a single case across 4 episodes so it's a quick binge if you're not in the mood for anything longer.
