Moscow, 1953. After being in power for nearly 30 years, Soviet dictator Josef Stalin takes ill and quickly dies. Now the members of the Council of Ministers scramble for power.
This hilarious political satire follows the events immediately after the death of Stalin as his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to become the next Soviet leader. Nobody comes off a winner in this excellent black comedy that shows the insecurities of men in power as they struggle to make sense of the reality of this power vacuum.
